"A Transnational Collaborative Partnership on Sport, Health and Participation"
Learning from GoGolf Europe project shared at Erasmus+ Sport event
The ERASMUS+ Sport Cluster Meeting on “Encouraging Participation in Sport and Physical Activities” organised in Brussels on 4 and 5 December 2017 was attended by GoGolf! Europe delegate and European Golf Association General Secretary, Richard Heath.
The two-day event was organised by the Education, Audio-visual and Culture Executive Agency and Directorate General for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport and brought together all EU projects selected under the Erasmus+ Programme – Sport – Collaborative Partnerships in the area of EU Physical Activities Guidelines from 2014 to 2016.
Mr Heath shared the GoGolf project’s experiences in the workshops: Education (Schools and Universities promoting physical activities) and Development of the Physical Education-related Curricula and Modules, and was able to relate some of the issues faced by school-aged children accessing golf programmes and facilities and ideas as to how golf can be introduced into schools.
In addition to dissemination of results in the golf sector, such as at the recent final conference, it is important to share the learning from the project at forums such as this for the benefit of the wider sport sector in Europe.
